    Directly reports to the Mondi Group HR Director.

    He or she is an experienced, central HR contact person and HR partner for the MD’s in the respective country and acting as an HR generalist for all Business Units/Business Segments with the following main responsibilities:

    • supports corporate HR with recruitment of local MD’s
    • Recruits for management positions and key functions in his/her country (e.g. plant mgmt team) together with the respective MD

    • Supports corporate HR with MD contracts (setting it up / changes)
    • Supports MD’s in the country with management contracts of his / her direct report and key functions

    • Supports corporate HR with MD terminations
    • Supports MD’s in the country with more complex/expensive terminations (e.g. of direct reports and key functions)
    • Supports MD’s in the country in regards to HR related plant closures issues

    Local labor law and social security issues
    • Ensures compliance with all legal standards in the country in all plants
    • Follows changes in country legislation and initiates change in our practices as necessary
    • Coordinates such changes across all operations in the country

    Compensation and Benefits
    • Ensures compliance in all compensation and benefits matters of MD’s and their direct reports
    • Advises on bonus schemes and bonus issues on plant level
    • Is knowledgeable about all pension schemes that exist in his / her country and can provide expert information about it
    • Is knowledgeable about all people related insurances that exist in his / her country and can provide expert information about it
    • Is knowledgeable about all HR related specific information in regards to his / her country and can provide expert information about it (e.g for a due diligence or regular HR specific reporting requirements)

    Employee relations
    • Is a contact partner to local workers council and unions, supporting the MD’s in all issues related to employee relations

    Regional HR Development
    • Supports Corporate HR
    • Supports MD’s in identifying, developing and retaining local talents according to a certain standard across all Business Units/Business Segments
    • Supports the rollout and implementation of corporate development and succession planning programs
    • Encourages career moves of local talents across business
    • Might be involved in country talent recruiting (e.g. country job fairs) or regional “personnel marketing” activities.

    Expatriation matters
    • Works closely with the Global Mobility team on issues related to secondments and expatriations out of his/her country or in his /her country
    • Interface to local payroll in Expat matters
    • Supports expatriates with relocation
    • Supports expatriates with re-integration in the country

    Policies and overall structures
    • Ensures that plants in one country follow the same rules in terms of policies (e.g. car policy)
    • Suggests policies (in coordination with line management and corporate HR) that might be useful in a country.
    • Might suggest and coordinate common HR structures (e.g. joint outsourced payroll in a country) or overall agreements with external vendors (e.g. headhunters) in order to save costs

    • Excellent English skills, besides the mother tongue (Arabic)
    • Good communication and people skills
    • Ability to work in a complex and demanding environment

    Our Client has been in Egypt since 1978, with vast experience in the Egyptian Urban and Mainlines Markets.

    With vast experience in the Rolling Stock, Signaling, and Infrastructure activities participated in the construction of Cairo Metro Lines (1, 2, and 3) with the renovation of the 52 Rolling Stock Units for line 1.

    Also, served the Egyptian Railways market through delivering Engineering, Power Supply, Construction, Maintenance and Trainings of Signaling, Centralized Control, and Infrastructure of railway projects such as Giza-Beni Suef, Beni Suef-Assuit, and Cairo-Alexandria lines.

    Job role:

    Drive Project Execution to maximize the results with respect to cash and margin whilst delivering on time, in conformity with the contract according to customer expectations and EHS Requirements.

    Manage Projects’ activities in accordance with standards and rules of the company.

    Initiate, Plan, Execute, Control and finally close the processes related to (among others) Quality (Q), Costs
    (C) and Time (D = Time) of the project.


    The Job Holder shall be responsible for the successful completion of the following:

    • Deliver projects according to QCD, Contract and Safety commitments as specified at contract signature & related signed Variation Orders
    • Ensure that the project workload needs are well forecasted and anticipated by Project Core Team
    • Participate & prepare Monthly Project Review (MPR) of projects under his / her control as per rules defined in MPR instructions
    • Define, review& adjust strategies of the project with RC Projects Director and Customer Director; periodically
    • Animate and lead operationally the Project Core Team, defining the project priorities
    • Support Customer Director in proposing and negotiating variation orders and claims with customer
    • Support Customer Director in getting customer acceptance of the project
    • Ensure TIS / Transport Project Management Processes, Methods and Tools are applied on a project
    • Ensure EHS rules are applied
    • As per specific delegation of the Regional Center Projects Director, coordinate a team of Project
    Managers, making sure their projects are executed as per QCD commitment

    Those missions will be fulfilled with the support of the corresponding central functions according to the
    Company’s rules and processes


    EDUCATION: University degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical ONLY)
    1. +10 years Minimum technical knowledge in line with the assessed projects/products
    2. Minimum Experience in Railway of +5 years is a MUST
    3. External recognition /accreditation are an added value.
    4. Project Management Experience handling Complex Projects
    5. Technical knowledge of the Metro (Power Supply Group)
    6. Competent in Project Management Tools (ADEL, SAP , PMS, Microsoft Project, CPR,MPR)


    • Language Skills: Excellent command of Arabic and English (written/ spoken). French is an advantage
    • Excellent presentation, communication, and analytical skills
    • IT Skills: Knowledgeable in all standard office tools
